Sensory Perception Research
Between 2004 to 2006, I worked in a research staff support position at the Auditory Perception Lab, Department of Psychology - UC Berkeley; under the direction of Dr. Erv Hafter.
The Auditory Perception Lab, located in the basement of the now-decommissioned Tolman Hall, featured a large anechoic chamber with a high-resolution surround sound system. The system was used to study the perception of spatial sound in people with hearing disabilities. I also supported an experiment measuring the effect of speech noise reduction on cognitive load.
The Hafter Lab has produced an incredible cohort of C-level executives, MacArthur Genius Award-winners, and faculty at top universities.
