In 2010, I co-founded EnChroma, Inc. - the Berkeley-based company behind the award-winning color blind glasses that captured global attention, as seen in viral videos viewed over 1 billion times.
As the Vice-President of Technology and CTO, I was the lead author for the company's core patent portfolio, including 6 granted US patents, 18 granted international patents, and additional pending patents. As CEO between 2015-2020, I led the company into the eye care professional market with distribution in 300 optometry stores across 25 countries, expanded its total addressable market 3X with a new lens technology for people with low vision, and secured the East Bay Innovation Award, Life Sciences Category in 2020.
Before EnChroma it was widely believed that it was impossible to correct color blindness using eyewear. Current projections estimate the color blind glasses market is growing at a 16% CAGR and will reach $27.5M by 2027, with EnChroma well positioned at the forefront of the industry.
The company continues to grow and is focused on international expansion.
